Broadridge has appointed Ian Mawdsley as chief product officer of its Broadridge Trading and Connectivity Solutions (BTCS) platform.

The platform supports multi-asset class, multi-workflow trading for both agency and principal trading activities.

BTCS appeals to users across order lifecycle and extensive market reach to trade and execute while meeting regulatory requirements.

Mawdsley was recently global head of equity trading solutions at Refinitiv during his five-year term with the company, in which he was previously head of buy-side trading.

Prior to this, Mawdsley’s extensive career involved senior positions at UBS Investment Banking, TradingScreen and Okasan International (Europe).

Based in London, he will form part of an ongoing strategy to build the BTCS team as he reports to president of BTCS Ray Tierney.

An additional senior hire to the BTCS team includes Christian Voigt, who joins the firm as senior product manager.

Previously, Voigt worked in trading design at Eurex for a number of years after holding roles at ION, Fidessa and Deutsche Borse.
